Re-educated? yeah, maybe…

**Update** first and foremost, the Gospel of Christ is not ever compromised…No Not ever!

First, I am sorry for not blogging for so long….. *sigh* but I hope to be here much more.

I am recently partnering with Samaritans Purse in order to create “safe” church. Sounds funny doesn’t it? Shouldn’t church be safe? Altho many are very safe, the abused have a hard time feeling safe, even there.  Since statistics are showing a woman is abused every 3 minutes(that is reported), not including men, and children, its imperative for the church to not just close our eyes to this, and learn how to reach out to them. It’s not the old way of banging on a door and say “are you going to heaven or hell?”. Seriously!  As a overcomer in this area, I can tell you that just pushes an abused person farther from truth.

An abused person, already has trouble believing it’s not their fault.  When hearing of a God who loved so much HE died for them, it holds no water, only because the abused only see the pain they have been through, and wonder why? Why would a loving God who died for me, and knit me together, place and abandon me in the life I am in? That is not the kind of love an abused person can relate to.

We (the body) need to become more compassionate, more hopeful, less judgemental.

Jesus spoke to the woman in the temple, sitting in a corner, curled up…and HE extended HIS hand, and said “Woman, you are loosed!”   She was freed from whatever caused her to sit in a vegetative state, curled up, wondering if it was like the fetal position?  Ah, if you have been abused or hurt, you know what I am talking about.

We need to learn to teach more on what we are created for, and being beaten, raped or terrified is not what we the creation was made for.  We need to learn more ourselves the attributes of God, we need to get in our Old Testaments as well, to see stories like Joseph…he didn’t deserve what happened to him either, but God took the bad and HE made it good. HE is still the same as HE was then..today.  He still forgives, and changes lives.  He still touches the Lepers, or whatever you may call the unlovely today.  His mission is to set the captives free…. as the body we have captives who need freed, loosed…probably sitting near us on Sundays, maybe the stranger who walks in late, and sits in the back…Make no mistake…God is near to the broken-hearted…

Not sure where all this is going to take me. But this I know.  God set this captive free, and HE did it by himself, one on one, teaching me early in the mornings, holding me late at night, and showing me Him self.   He is about to take some bad and make it good!

Abundant Grace-intro

The word GRACE used to totally baffle my mind.  Not many people can even define the word, much less apply it to daily living.  When I was a child my Sunday School teacher defined Grace as an acronym

G-God’s

R-riches

A-at

C-Christ’s

E-Expense

Altho I could understand that Jesus died for me, the whole riches, and expense escaped me.

Grace is so much more, and once we accept the fact that it is a gift that we will never be able to pay for, or feel worthy of…IT’S AMAZING!  Abundant is the word! As believers we are swimming in it! GOD said.. “My Grace is sufficient for you” .  WOW, sufficient…its enough, you are not left wanting or needing..its enough!  Nothing is too hard for HIM, nothing is too costly, nothing is too good for you as HIS child. HE does reserve the right to decide what is good for you. 🙂

The Blood of Jesus is enough to cover yours and my sins. No limit to the power of it, and its given to us FREE…

What are your thoughts on Grace?

the ONLY unchanging ONE

Just came from my friend Gracie’s blog, and she inspired this in me.  (click the link and see if that post doesn’t move your heart..thats God calling..definintely)

So often we forget what God means when HE tells us to love.  So often we pick and choose what that love should look like in us.  While reading her blog I thought of a song that said “Jesus said to love like him, then HE died for me…can i be like my Jesus” (from My Jesus, by Todd Agnew)

While pondering on this…it all comes down to know HIM, loving HIM, and understanding that there is nothing we can do to earn HIS love, and if we got what we are entitled…to put it bluntly..we would get Hell an eternal seperation from our Holy God.

My love for HIM is rekindled pondering on who HE is.  HE doesn’t need us or anything we can do, HE wants us…the ONLY unchanging ONE

Overwhelmed, in Awe

Sitting here before the LORD, and wondering what makes the Almighty Creator of all things give attention to my trivial every day life? I am grateful that HE does, and no doubt He has been showing off lots lately.

After a year of praying for my man to get a different job and to find a church family, God has provided both.  The new job starts in March, and in March a new opportunity to lead women has also opened.  Finding my heart and mind flat before the LORD…There comes a time in knowing Him that there is no words for what He does, and words are few….

In my human mind, i can not comprehend what HE is doing, or why He would want to save me from my past.  There will never be a day that i will be able to repay Him, and my surrender to HIS love for me is all that He is asking.  He wants all my dreary, shame-filled life in return for His everything..HE wants to be my everything..HE wants me to love Him with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.  He lifts my head in front of HIS other children, and I become broken.  He sings over me, He watches over me 24/7, my praise causes Him to dance over me, and at this very moment, i sense He is smiling and telling the Son, ” thats my girl, she believes me today”.

Happy New Year…

Reflecting on the New Year that we are about to enter, so many things flood my mind. Good, Bad, indifferent, all definitely a part of living.  As I enter the New Year, I choose to remember these things…

**God is trustworthy

**God is loyal

**God is faithful

**God is never too busy

**God never forgets us for a second

**God wants the best for HIS children

**God’s glory will always shine

**God always has a plan

**God is love, and shares with me

**God provides for me, always

**My identity is found in HIM

**Everything falls on HOPE , FAITH, LOVE, GRACE, MERCY, and a never ending supply of all!

Blogged Bible Study-Galatians 4-Grasp the Grace

Galatians 4:1-7 (NIV)

What I am saying is that is as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from the slave, although he owns the whole estate.  He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. But when the time had fully come, GOD sent his Son, born of a woman, under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the full rights of sons, God sent the Spirit of HIS son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father”. So you are no longer a slave, but a son, God has made you an heir.

This is the beauty of Grace.  Once asking a Pastor what exactly is Grace, we sing about it, we throw it around like a 5 dollar word in Christian circles, and at that time I had no concept of what it actually was.  I was answered with “God’s riches at Christs expense”. Sums it up..still left me empty to the meaning, or application for me.  These verses opened it up for me.  Grace we are swimming in it!! Not only is HIS Grace sufficient for me, and you, there is nothing that will remove you from it as a believer in Christ.  As a son we are inheritors to the Kingdom, we are IN, and all because of the gift of Christ to die for us.

The mind of Christ. Always asked this one too..How can one have the mind of Christ? No one could actually answer that for me, or even admit that we do. But it says..the Spirit of Christ has moved into residency in our hearts! (Swimming in it! grasp this)  His Spirit intercedes for us, HE cries out “Abba , Father”  (Daddy , Father) Where we fall is here.  NO matter what you struggle with, NO matter what I struggle with..right here.  At times we are thinking as the slave, under the Law, forgetting the marvelous gift of Grace that was given to us. Please don’t tell me that you do not ever do this. If we truly grasped this, nothing could stop us in ministry, in our families, in our devotional time, in spreading the fragrance of Knowing HIM, our boldness for the kingdom with just scream from us!! It is not a light thing that HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR US! It means whatever is brought your way, God has already seen HIS Glory fulfilled in it, and you will also see HIS Glory if you don’t turn from HIM.  SWIMMING IN IT! THIS IS SOMETHING TO w00t!!! Holla!!! all about!!!
