What’s The Point?

Observation:

People generally say anything that they think you want to hear. It’s not helpful.

People generally have their own desires in front of any repercussions it may cost another. Its awful.

People spend most of their life working for more money to better their life, while destroying relationships. Its painful.

People will hate another all while preaching love. It hurts.

Realism:

We push hard to just make it through the week, and lick our wounds in private. Its hard.

We try to be honest with others. Its brutal.

We deal with manipulators who are pleasing their own twisted agenda. Its sickening.

Don’t trust people. Don’t trust your heart. Its deceiving.

So, what’s the point? Why are we pushing so hard, there is no promise that the other side of this is any better.

Why allow anyone in to the closed part of your soul, your deepest thoughts? They will not honor them.

I don’t know what the point is.  I am not sure why I do this every day.  But I know I screwed up.  I looked to someone else and put my trust out there, and it was disastrous. An already trashed heart, smashed a little more.

God is the only one who knows “whats the point”, wondering if he will tell me.

IF you could…would you?

What is something that seems out of reach to you, but if you could…________, would you?

if i could…bungee jump off the SanFrancisco Bridge at night…would i…NO (chicken..but that would be radical to me!)

Have you seen her?

You know,.. the girl who looks tattered and torn? Maybe covered in tatoos, maybe just not very easy on your eyes…I am sure you have seen her. My question is, how did you respond to her? or if you responded at all?

I wonder how many times Jesus has put her or him in our path and we choose to cross the street, or look else where.  Did it even cross our minds to make an eye connection with her/him, and maybe offer a friendly smile? Maybe even say “hey, how are you?” and then stand and listen, maybe offer to pray for them with them, maybe offer to take them to dinner, or invite them in for coffee, and try to extend a friendly hand?  Its hard I know…but what a terrible thing it would be if Jesus were disguised, and we rejected HIM..i think about things like that. 

I don’t think its good or cool to just ignore these people and call our selves blessed, and go home and write check to our favorite ministry, or sign up for a missions trip and forget the person we pass on the way to the grocery store who holds a sign …”will work for food”..you don’t have to leave the US to find them, they are here.  (no kick on missions trips – love them, love the hearts God sends on them) Just wondering…why there are so many stickers and shirts and hats with “what would Jesus do” and not many looking like Jesus?  maybe they are not telling us they know, maybe they don’t know what Jesus would do…just my brain….

You do realize we are responsible for alot of what goes into our minds and eventually becomes a normal thought process?  So I thought I would check in with all my peeples and see just what are you reading and watching..

watching- guilty of Fox News channel, but limiting it to an hour a day, or I could just hang with them all day.

50 Random things about me…

I was tagged in a note on Facebook by my friend/sister Brandy for 50 random things about me.. So here we go…

1.  i sleep with a body pillow and a stuffed panda bear when hubs is not home.

2.  is i don’t spend time with God in the morning, you will not be able to stand me all day (i can’t even stand myself)

3.  i make dog food for my huskey who is neurotic (but she is getting old, and i am trying to give her life without zombitizing her)

4.  my kids are the world to me, mess with them, i will seriously show you a side that i wish were dead, but not!

5.  i love asparagus with cheese 

6. i hate canned vegetables..oooo soo mushy..yuk!

7. no buttermilk for me

8.  love to make the yard look pretty 

9. love hanging on the deck 

10.  feed my dogs at 4:30 in the morning due to their internal clocks, not a pretty sight

11.  love to read, but like to be left alone while i do it.

12.  the beach is my favorite place (especially at night)

13.  yes, i use splenda, and i heard its bad for me (isn’t life in general bad for me?)

14.  i don’t scare easy

15.  at times i have a temper (God is working on that, and again that depends on #2)

16.  my bedroom is the last room to get cleaned (and sometimes its weeks before i get to it)

17.  since hubs been driving a truck, my bed gets made more often(isn’t that strange)

18. coffee is a love close to my heart, frenchroast mixed with Italian roast, whole bean (thinking i really need  want a french press)

19.  drive a saturn vue, boring white, good price, i am easy like that

20.  at times, my personality is very quiet and reserved (people generally think something is wrong, but really i like it sometimes)

21.  i don’t  believe that everytime something happens that is a negative means that you have unconfessed sin in your life…that thinking really unnerves me!

22. my hubs is the hottest thing i ever seen!! 

23.  love spending time with my man ( i grab it every chance i get)

24.  love my internet time (although it has been limited lately)

25. studying on my own the Holy Spirit (my friends are shopping and doing what seems fun to them, am i turning into a nerd?)

26. raised in the city, and its true that you can take the girl out of the city, but never the city out of the girl.

27. i get major upset when people who do not do like with one, will have the nerve to judge them..just gets me rolling everytime!

28. love Panera soup and bread bowls…(they have decent coffee too)

29. the olive garden is my favorite (never can eat all my food, so it means leftovers for another day!)

30.  i eat leftovers! (just taught that way..waste not want not)

31.  sometimes i fight with guilt, because I just can’t be everywhere at once, and i want to. hahaha

32. i drive a school bus and i like it (that is rare at my work, i am freaky to them)

33. i am a freak for Jesus and i can not stop it..supernatural!

34. some of my dearest friends i have never met or they live in a different place in the world..but my dearest friends all the same!

35.  allergies- to life! well mostly  ..my pets, mold, pollen, dust, …like i said life!

36. i take meds daily to breathe

37. love cranberry rasberry juice

38. Slushies are my favorite food group!

39. Oreos with anything is a meal.

40.  my blogging family is truly my family, and i will stand up for them, regardless of who don’t get it..no shame on my part!

41.  i often wonder why Adam named some thing he did..like WHAT was he thinking when he named Zebra..really? i totally get Anteater..

42.  little kids are the best..they totally rock! with all that innocence and honesty!

43.  i hate to wear dresses..

44.  love earrings, but hate the cheesy looking ones..definitely old hippie tendancies.. i have them, but not the kind that turn you colors..no

45.  my cat yells at me all the time, wonder what she is telling me, or shouting at me, dang! she only knows one word!

46. Have two daughters and a son..daughters are easier when little, but the boy is definitely easier so far in the teen years! 

47.  believe honesty is a dying virtue, and i feel the need to fight for it at times.

48. forgiveness is the toughest of all the things GOD tells me to do, but the most blessed one!  go figure  HIS ways are higher than mine

49.  I don’t think God gives a hoot what you wear to church, as long as you are respectable to HIM.  

50.  believe God sees everyone naked anyway!! clothes was HIS idea for man to stop turning red with enbarrassment over something made incredible!

25 Random things about me

Between Blogsville and Facebook  (hahaha) peeps want to know my randomness, okay..here we go… Selena, Brandy, Ric, Dale mostly for you!  If you are reading this and no one has asked you to do this..I am asking  you now! so leave me a comment if you are going to do this, so we can all come and read!

1. I believe Oreos are medicine, and always make me feel better.

2. I believe the church is not a building.

3. If I could do anything in the world today without repercussions, I would choose doing nothing.  I like nothing.

4. I like diet coke with splenda (no one sells it here anymore..bummer)

5.Coffee is an amazing drink, and I love it, and want it several times a day.

6. Although some think I may be ADD I t hink I am just NOT inhibited.

7. I drive a school bus, and I like it.

8. My children are priceless to me.

9. I love to make my kids laugh!

10.  I am a Christ follower, but not a Pharisee..there is a difference.

11. My blog family is real to me..and I adore them!

12. When I was little I had imaginary friends, so # 11 concerns my mother.

13. I am the middle child of 5.

14. I have 3 brothers, and 1 sister.

15. My family is dysfunctional, and I was okay with that til I learned the word “dysfunctional”, my grandma used to say that if not for Jerry Springer and Oprah, we would not even know ..sooo they will have to answer to God for that! hahahaha

16. Being real is most important to me.

17.  I love big breakfast on Saturday mornings!

18. I love that saturday morning breakfasts are made by HUBS!

19.  Studying the Word is my lifeline.

20.  Meeting Bloggers is vacation to me

21. Love love love the Beach!

22. Love the mountains too, but beach is first!

23.  I am unemployed in the summer, and I like that.

24. I have two dogs and a cat…i dig critters! 🙂
