Re-educated? yeah, maybe…

**Update** first and foremost, the Gospel of Christ is not ever compromised…No Not ever!

First, I am sorry for not blogging for so long….. *sigh* but I hope to be here much more.

I am recently partnering with Samaritans Purse in order to create “safe” church. Sounds funny doesn’t it? Shouldn’t church be safe? Altho many are very safe, the abused have a hard time feeling safe, even there.  Since statistics are showing a woman is abused every 3 minutes(that is reported), not including men, and children, its imperative for the church to not just close our eyes to this, and learn how to reach out to them. It’s not the old way of banging on a door and say “are you going to heaven or hell?”. Seriously!  As a overcomer in this area, I can tell you that just pushes an abused person farther from truth.

An abused person, already has trouble believing it’s not their fault.  When hearing of a God who loved so much HE died for them, it holds no water, only because the abused only see the pain they have been through, and wonder why? Why would a loving God who died for me, and knit me together, place and abandon me in the life I am in? That is not the kind of love an abused person can relate to.

We (the body) need to become more compassionate, more hopeful, less judgemental.

Jesus spoke to the woman in the temple, sitting in a corner, curled up…and HE extended HIS hand, and said “Woman, you are loosed!”   She was freed from whatever caused her to sit in a vegetative state, curled up, wondering if it was like the fetal position?  Ah, if you have been abused or hurt, you know what I am talking about.

We need to learn to teach more on what we are created for, and being beaten, raped or terrified is not what we the creation was made for.  We need to learn more ourselves the attributes of God, we need to get in our Old Testaments as well, to see stories like Joseph…he didn’t deserve what happened to him either, but God took the bad and HE made it good. HE is still the same as HE was then..today.  He still forgives, and changes lives.  He still touches the Lepers, or whatever you may call the unlovely today.  His mission is to set the captives free…. as the body we have captives who need freed, loosed…probably sitting near us on Sundays, maybe the stranger who walks in late, and sits in the back…Make no mistake…God is near to the broken-hearted…

Not sure where all this is going to take me. But this I know.  God set this captive free, and HE did it by himself, one on one, teaching me early in the mornings, holding me late at night, and showing me Him self.   He is about to take some bad and make it good!

Fixing my Focus…

Facebook.  Twitter.  Blogs. Outreach. Church. Family. Life good and bad. Work. Friendships. None of which are bad things, but if not in the correct priority is demolition to my walk with Christ. So my struggles, and my lack of “livehappy” is my own doing.

Since my top priority is walking with the LORD, and being all that I can be in HIM, i needed to make some difficult decisions.

~my time with God comes first in the day or this laptop does not open til it happens.

~I am moving my writing to Philter48 because that is my call to write and to be a light that shines, and the accountability that goes with it. I am sure this is a good move.

~Being a part of a church family is God’s will for me…HE has placed me with a group of people who have a heart for the lost, and maybe for the first time I feel like I am home and with my vision “An Army of Love”.  Been struggling with this, but time to stop fighting it and move on with it.

~limiting my facebook time, and my twitter time, but not feeling like I need to stop it.

~family is important to me, and I am working on being more flexible with them, they are a gift from God.

~my friendships are important to me, and I want to be more open to spend more time with them.

~embracing the life God has given to me unselfishly, and living happy, being grateful, and keeping a Kingdom focus.

Worship…with me

New Ministry Excitement!

I have been blessed to be part of a group of people who are looking to God (by being in the Word), and also gleening from each other.  Philter48 is much more than a forum, it is discussion, articles (blogs for men , women, teens-this one not quite ready), forum style Bible Study, and also other topics following after the Verse Philippians 4:8  Whatever is…  Registration is easy and painless, and you will not be given to spambots, or any solicitation.  Its just a safe place to think and build community with other believers.  Do you have to be a believer?  No, but those are the topics we are looking at..and I do think everyone can benefit from it.

I have been posting on the Womens Blog, and I am excited about what God is doing in me through this.  CPKroboth III has been blogging there on the Mens Blog, and I am sure there is a blessing there for you men. 

There is just so much there, TV/live chat…which can also be used as a chat area, a section in the forum to leave prayer requests (who does not need prayer? that is my question) God has been good in giving Carl and Brian this vision, and providing the support they need to get it going.

Teen Mothers in Church

Interesting…while thinking today of a young mother (16), who chose to keep her baby, and is trying very hard to keep good grades (maintaining an A average), taking on her motherly duties, and the baby is a picture of health and being well taken care of…one  happy baby.  This mother is wanting to go to church…I know there are consequences to our poor choices.  But those consequences should never be with holding Jesus Christ, or the gospel as if she has really out sinned God’s forgiveness.  Curious..

-Would your church be okay with this young lady being part of your daughters youth group? why or why not?

-Would you let your daughter be her only friend?
