Worship…with me

The Ship is sinking…

My heart has been amazed at the amount of compassion that our LORD shines on us daily. As I go through my day and see so many children who are unloved, forgotten, and just missing the happy skip a child should have…I am reminded.

The world is getting worse, and its supposed to…that means HE is coming soon!  Mothers who can just be so consumed with theirself, and have no compassion on their own children…appalling!  So many who say they don’t believe in anything, and yet they are their own god, self worship!  Oh the long suffering and patience of our HOLY GOD, to not just wipe us out.  This is just the tip of the iceburg, and the ship is sinking…

With each heart ache I feel, I turn and lay it in HIS hands, and watch as HE turns it into something priceless.  When we get to Heaven we will never feel our hearts break again, He is going to wipe every tear away…but until then…

We need to pray for the lost, pray for our hearts to have compassion, and to reach with everything we have and don’t have as if we were watching someone drowning, they are.  We need to feel that kind of desperation in reaching out to the lost.  We know a secret, we are the lights reflecting the Son, its not just ours, its for them as well.  We need to give it away, to shine like crazy! 

Oh Father God, how lost we once were, and in your mercy you rescued us.  Don’t let us forget where we have come from, fill us over and over with your compassion and love, give our spirits an urgency to lose self, and allow you to flow from our lips and actions. 

Laying all the children I come in contact with at your feet, and remembering and believing that you knew them before you formed them in their mothers womb.  You have a plan, and I lift them to you, to protect them, reveal yourself to them, allow them to feel your love tonight, and don’t let them leave here without you.  Thank you for allowing my heart to break..I know you have my attention when that happens, and you always but it back together more in love with YOU.  Your princess who sees the signs, and feels the desperation to keep pressing on.

So many lost people…

So many people hurt, so many people going through trials, so many confused people, so many misled people.  Its not hard to see them, just look around where ever you are, and its there.  Some may never speak a word to what they are going through, but the eyes are a window to the soul, and its there..darkness, hopelessness, rejection, shame, loneliness.

I know how this all effects me, from time to time, I just have to cry out for them…I feel their pain.  Thinking of how much more our LORD sees and hears and looks into thier darkened hearts, and what that must feel like to HIM, the Creator, knowing that HE created a way for them to come to HIM and have the darkness turned to light.  Either it has been rejected or….we the body are not doing our job in letting HIS light shine through us.  SAD.  Don’t believe for a second that all have heard the Good News and have made a choice, I don’t believe that.

Lord, the ones of us who are trying hard to work in the harvest fields are tired, we get weary from friendly fire(that by the way is not so friendly), we are becoming desperate for the lost to hear and know you, please send help…encourage us…minister to our wounds, and give us strength. Help us, we are so selfish, so self centered in all we do.  We need to be emptied fresh and refilled with more of you.  I know you know, and I know that nothing escapes your eyes, refresh us. Your grace is sufficient for us, help us to remember it always.   Everything is about you, and nothing is about us.

Blogging Bible Study – John 12

John chapter 12 has so much in it. As I read the Word, I remember that these are all real people at a real time, doing real things. Don’t forget to check out the other entries this week on this chapter…go here

Mary anoints Jesus (12:1-8)

Marys offering of an expensive oil, was probably her life savings…she gave HIM everything, even at the cost of being unrightfully judged by Judas.  Jesus responded in “Leave her alone”.  This was a time when there was little regard for women, so it wouldn’t have been a necessary thing for HIM to defend what she had done.  HIS point was choosing the better. Being HIM as the better.  How often do we really give HIM everything? Yes we should, but in all honesty…really.. do you?

Pharisees plan to kill Lazarus (12:9-19)

Still amazed…Lazarus is raised from the dead, the people are thrilled, and believing in Jesus. The Pharisees (the teachers of the Holy Writ) are looking to keep their own life..full of authority, and a higher place than the rest, sooo “lets kill Lazarus”.  Didn’t their Law also say ..THou shalt not kill?

Jesus tells of his own death (12:20-36)

Jesus speaks of HIS own death to the disciples, but all they can see is the Glory that is happening, I really don’t think they got it…how could they?  Jesus was speaking of something yet to come, and it didn’t actually fit with what was happening at that time. 

Truimphal Entry/Isaiahs prophesy fullfilled (12:37-43)

Jesus riding on a colt, exactly like Isaiah said it would happen.  The Pharisees also new this, yet to keep their positions of authority they still planned for Jesus death.

Jesus summary of HIS mission (12: 44-50)

Jesus mission was to come and die to save the world (not judge, HIS words will judge), but not to stay dead.  yet another thing that I am sure the disciples did not understand..Jesus gave them warning.  I just wonder if at the time of HIS death although fear over took them, if they pondered these things HE said…just thinking out loud.

Verses that jumped out at me..(Holman Christian Standard)

²⁵The one who loves his life will lose it,^£ and the one who hates^£ his life^£ in this world will keep it for eternal life. ²⁶If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me. Where I am, there My servant^£ also will be.^£ If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor^£ him.

³¹Now is the judgment of this world.^£ Now the ruler of this world^£ will be cast out.^£ 32As for Me, if I am lifted up^£ from the earth I will draw all _ëpeople_û to Myself.”

35Jesus answered, “The light will be with you only a little longer. Walk while you have the light so that darkness doesn’t overtake you. The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going. 36While you have the light, believe in the light so that you may become sons of light.”

 

⁴⁴Then Jesus cried out, “The one who believes in Me^£ believes not in Me, but in Him who sent Me. ⁴⁵And the one who sees Me sees Him^£ who sent Me. ⁴⁶I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me would not remain in darkness. ⁴⁷If anyone hears My words and doesn’t keep^£ them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world^£ but to save the world.^£ 48The one who rejects Me^£ and doesn’t accept My sayings has this as his judge:^£ the word I have spoken will judge him on the last day.^£ 49For I have not spoken on My own, but the Father^£ Himself who sent Me has given Me a command as to what I should say and what I should speak. ⁵⁰I know that His command is eternal life.^£ So the things that I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”^£
