Relationship? waz dat?

Do you know what relationship really is? and do you have any?  Unfortunately, not too many really do, and the next generation even less, and the teens today are lacking it, and their behavior is showing it.

GOD wired us for relationship….

HE wired us to feel physical touch,

HE wired us to feel loved,

HE wired us to hear kind words, soft voices, friendly eyes looking back at us.

I love modern technology! Can’t wait to see what comes out next! But our culture today is very deceptive in the way it tears the relationship away.  NOT saying that good things are not happening as well. But how about the people physically close to us?

Teen on my bus…”my mom texts me too much, and i follow her on twitter, i run out of things to talk to her about”.   Me: ” so what do you do when you get home?”  teen: stay mostly in my room, homework, facebook, twitter…mostly bored”.  we have become a culture more and more of short messages, we don’t even spell correctly anymore, and we forget to touch, to laugh, to slow down, have conversation that does not include technology. Scary…the enemy will take something that is good and use it against us if we are not careful.

Relationships take time, the need to experience each other is necessary. Time spent together is necessary.  I know..We have it undercontrol.  or do we?  What are a children learning from us as we move through this technology era..how are they applying what they see?

I am no longer surprised that believers in Jesus Christ, do not believe in a personal relationship with HIM, we live in an age where relationship is disposable, and as easy as click to rid a person from your following.  I guess the enemy has done his homework, and praying that the body of Christ will do theirs..literally.

AGAIN..i am not knocking twitter, facebook, or any other technology…please don’t allow those things to be your only relationships, and God the Father, Son, Holy Spirit are not on these things..they are sitting beside you..waiting for relationship.

What in your own definition is relationship? How does one come into a deeper relationship with anyone?

My King, my healer…

Isaiah 57: 18,19(NLT)

18 I have seen what they do,
but I will heal them anyway!
I will lead them.
I will comfort those who mourn,

19 bringing words of praise to their lips.
May they have abundant peace, both near and far,”

So many questions, so many things on my mind, so many condemnations plaguing me.   God knows every single thing I’ve ever done, including the thoughts that were less than pleasing to Him. Standing in Awe of how HE works and leads me to exactly what I need to come to closer to Him. That has been my prayer, as well as the reason for my silence on FB/twitter.

HE brought me back to a study HE prompted me to dig into…still stuck and wondering and praying…”I know you want me to know this, I just can’t pull it together”.  Just the next day, I came across a study I worked through about 6 years ago. The title resonated with me, “Father, revive my heart…” So started working on that again…writing out my answers fresh and dating them, so i could see a difference in me from the time that past.  HE showed me how much I have grown through the years, and how much pride HE has already taken away from me (still a ways to go tho).

My original study, writing my own study, on the “Holy Spirit”. The second page of “revive my heart” .. “Holy Spirit”…Church today..”we are starting a new study “Holy Spirit”.   I absolutely love where He has led me to, and the way works to bring me closer…

HE knows what i did, and HE is going to heal me anyway! HE is going to lead me, and put HIS praise on my lips..I think I know how the woman at the well felt.

Resting tonight in His love for me, Knowing that healing is very close, believing that knowing HIM in God the Spirit is my missing link to pulling this faith walk together.  Last weekend, I heard HIM say “no FB”, I had to be obedient. This week, has been overwhelming in revelations, and causing me to rejoice and tremble at the same time.  My Holy, Supreme God is once again directing my steps…oh how HE loves..

 

Galations 3-Blogged Bible Study-Are you Bewitched?

This an ongoing study of Galations, and I will be different from the rest, because God made me this way, and I am okay with that. *wink*..please read the other posts on my sidebar under the Blogging Bible Study..I have decided to not post the verses, I will encourage you to look them up, in your Bible, and spend time with the Scripture so that it can speak to you.

I have pondered this first verse of Galatians 3 many times, and always come to the same conclusion. “You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you?”   Who has bewitched us? Don’t think so?  Look around you..we will argue a play on words, debate different translations, disown people because they do not understand, or maybe they aren’t as educated..who has cast a spell on us? Enchanted us?  If you think for a minute that our modern day culture of Christian is not bewitched, then I beg to differ with you.

Paul is spiritually shaking the Galatians up, reminding them that by faith they are saved, that the blood of Jesus was enough!  That they live by faith, the same faith that saved them, and baptized them with the Holy Spirit.  He reminded them that they are spiritual seed of Abraham, and live under the same promise.  Here is another place that we are bewitched.  Still I hear arguements that we are not allowed to stand on these promises.  Oh yes we are!  Read Gensis 17 and see what is the promise, what is the covenant that was cut by God with Abraham.  No one cuts a deal with GOD, HE will be the only one cutting a covenant. Amen?

Have you ever felt like you didn’t quite fit in? trying to prove yourself?  I have been here, I spent many years just trying to fit into the body of Christ.  Only to have my GOD sit me down and tell me straight up..”you are part of the body of Christ, you are already in, you have nothing to prove here, stand on my promises, I don’t lie”…

In the last few years, the biggest lesson I have learned is to run everything through scripture, and everything into the throne room, then wait for HIM to instruct me.  Commentaries are great! love them! multiple translations are fun! GOD knows how my brain works, HE created it, so its best for me to rely first and foremost on HIM.  Then no one can bewitch me..or you.

We live by faith and not by sight…

Faith/Believing God credits us righteousness..

Jesus finished the job at the cross, HE didn’t leave anything undone…

GOD has made us promises that are ours, but HE requires us to believe HIM…

Who has bewitched you? We have forgotten how to be one in Christ..HE prayed for our unity, and still we have none, I still believe that the Son of GOD gets everything HE asks for, and that Paul mentioning this also means we should have it!

I have not decided to shut this down, but I am in transition with a new study, new church, and life in general that is very demanding.  When I started blogging I had a very clear ministry, its changing, and I am thinking this needs to be re-invented, redone, possibly moved, and thinking that the Holy Spirit has a plan, and I am jumping off the edge to see where I land! exciting and scary..

The Christian Bubble is not for me…both physically and blogging.  There are so many hurting people, and so many who need hope, and I am sitting here holding that Hope, and I need to be out there giving it away.

OCC-Holy Spirit-His Personal Actions I

The Holy Spirit..a gift to you…straight from God the Father, made possible through Jesus Christ. An AMAZING gift!  

I Corinthians 2:12

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

When I receive a gift, I explore it! I want to know everything about it, and how it applies to me. SO while studying, the application to self is huge. And not only for me, but for every believer.

I Corinthians 2:10-11

but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

The Holy Spirit searches and knows the deep things of God! HE knows HIS thoughts! try wrapping your mind around that for a while. HE lives in you…

Romans 8:26-27

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

God knows the mind of the Spirit as well as the Spirit knowing HIS..and the Spirit prays/intercedes for us! This is something to do the a happy dance about!  SO many times in weakness, and in walking through the fire, we just don’t know how to pray, and we lay it at HIS feet, and the Spirit of God already knows the plan and is interceding for all that is necessary to complete the plan, and bring us to the exact place that God has already planned for us.

This is just another taste of what I have been working on as I press on to fulfill my calling, learning more about the gift that GOD has given us to insure we are overcomers.  Ultimatly, its your choice to follow the Spirit or grieve HIM.  But the Gift remains..

Does God care? really?

I Peter 5:7  Cast all your cares on HIM, because HE cares for you.

In my humanness, I have spent endless hours reading and learning  and just wanting to know how to “Cast my cares on HIM”. Don’t get me wrong, the time has not been wasted. 

While walking day in and day out in a broken cursed world, it becomes discouraging at times, people generally do not care, and the church is not exempt in that.  It seems we pick and choose what we will care about, and we discard the rest.  My conversation with the LORD lately has been along the lines that I am bombarded with people who do not care about what is surrounding them, and they care even less for me.  I am the kind of person that generally that rolls off me, and I soon become very uncaring too. Or maybe immune to it.  I have certainly seen alot more uncaring in my life than genuine concern or just gentle caring.  

Our GOD is faithful! While studying, and conversing with HIM about how badly I tend to feel walking through this world, I really want HIM to change my heart and my “want to”, to just line up more with HIS.  It was important that I looked at “why” the feelings even stir in me that seem to drive me.  And it all came down to..”They don’t care about me”.  The Holy Spirit, whom I am studying more about, guided me to I Peter 5:7.  My heart sank, and I automatically went in the direction to cast my cares on HIM…still must be doing that wrong.. NO…HE showed me how we stop there, and miss the biggest part of that verse..”because HE cares for us”.

Repeat that over and over in your heart today, it will shine a new light on you, it will give you strength to push ahead, and it fills us with HIS love and care, enough to endure the world around us.  Our Creator, our KING, our Daddy, HE CARES FOR US..HE CARES!
