Abundant Grace – Day 3 Marriage

(sorry for taking so long for this post, it has been incredibly hot here and i drive a school bus, needless to say, at the end of the day, exhaustion is all i have. catching up..now)

Ephesians 5:33 (NLT) So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

I am going to go somewhere with this and hopefully it will come across well. Mainly I am addressing those of my readers who are hurting, divorced, or living apart from their spouse.  In Ephesians 5:33, God puts the husband first..many other places as well does God call the man out in how to lead his family, to love his family, and to be responsible for his family. Its incredibly easy to  respect someone who loves you like himself.  Not that easy to do when that love is with held for selfish reasons.  God is not carelessly throwing something out here, HE is very detailed and there is a reason why it is first.  So for my sisters who are hurting and/or have started a new life, because the marriage fell apart.  God still knows the plans HE has for you.  Love you ladies so much, and praying you through this section of the study. God does not throw us away. NO on the contrary, HE picks us up, keeps us close, and binds up our wounds and nurses us back to health himself! I believe this!

I struggle with being respectful or being taken disrespectful, when tired or playing..yes i am working on this!  God did not design marriage to be something we change our mind about or throw it away to find something new. However, there is not much we can do if the other party will not remain faithful and married to us.

For the ones who are married, I believe we need to pray more for our husbands to protect them from the evil one, definitely wicked sabbatoge is all over this world aimed at them. Usually when we have problems here, I used to pray for God to change him…just do it! Now I pray for God to change me.  Its safer and better to pray. If its not right for me to change in that area, GOD has me covered, and his changing will start. But often times my heart needed to change, and whatever was going on, right or wrong, changes were needed in my heart.

Single Ladies…ahhh you thought I forgot about you! No Never!  So many single ladies just want to be married. Please look closer at the dating section of this day..very good ideas and thoughts.  But also remember, God may want you to be single, HE is your husband, HE is your provider. I absolutely loathe how the world makes you feel at times, and it couldn’t be further from the truth. God has not forgotten you, HE has kept the best for himself!
