Seize the Day

Its not enough to just walk through the day and to just think at its end, “that’s it! nothing more!”  We tend to forget to seize the day! Be intentional..Looking for what God is doing around us, and anticipating that one person HE may put in your path who is ready to know HIM.  When we do this, we are never disappointed, and not at all weary at the end of the day.  Kingdom living, be intentional, spend time with HIM, and keep the conversation open all day long. Seizing that moment when someone just looks at you and needs a smile, or “hey how you doing?” then wait for them to respond, not walk on by.

I know our schedules are crazy at times, but we serve a GOD who doesn’t run out of time, and when I actually do these things, my day comes together in a supernatural way. One more thing for me to stand of awe about at the end of the day.

Go on now! get out there and just ask someone “Do you know my Jesus?”

Good Times-TMI Generator(no problem)

this is what I have been caught up with this morning and noon.  As this generator crossed RT 441 the Middle school, Elementary, and Kcenter are all affected by it.  The whole entourage is about one mile long, and completely walked with one steering in the front, the other axles are worked by remote control of men walking beside it. Its 75 feet high, so power lines traffic lights are being unassembled and re assembled constantly.  Just so happens i go to RT 441 approximately 8 times a day for pick ups, drops, and to get in and out of the school. today we learned to enter through the back. GOOD TIMES! LOL they have more faith in us than we do. If i get to a crossing that can’t be crossed at that time, turn around NO PROBLEM! LOL still keeping a sense of humor.

For your viewing pleasure if you haven’t heard about this major feat, here is a link to see what I am talking about.

Kids have been totally freaked as we do our routes differently and try to accomodate this small problem 🙂  So we sang Sponge Bob Square pants several times..yah I had the part “ARRRRR ya ready kids” LOL

(been flipped off today a couple times, and I am flattered that they think I am #1!)

Blogged Bible Study-Galatians 4-Grasp the Grace

Galatians 4:1-7 (NIV)

What I am saying is that is as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from the slave, although he owns the whole estate.  He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. But when the time had fully come, GOD sent his Son, born of a woman, under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the full rights of sons, God sent the Spirit of HIS son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father”. So you are no longer a slave, but a son, God has made you an heir.

This is the beauty of Grace.  Once asking a Pastor what exactly is Grace, we sing about it, we throw it around like a 5 dollar word in Christian circles, and at that time I had no concept of what it actually was.  I was answered with “God’s riches at Christs expense”. Sums it up..still left me empty to the meaning, or application for me.  These verses opened it up for me.  Grace we are swimming in it!! Not only is HIS Grace sufficient for me, and you, there is nothing that will remove you from it as a believer in Christ.  As a son we are inheritors to the Kingdom, we are IN, and all because of the gift of Christ to die for us.

The mind of Christ. Always asked this one too..How can one have the mind of Christ? No one could actually answer that for me, or even admit that we do. But it says..the Spirit of Christ has moved into residency in our hearts! (Swimming in it! grasp this)  His Spirit intercedes for us, HE cries out “Abba , Father”  (Daddy , Father) Where we fall is here.  NO matter what you struggle with, NO matter what I struggle with..right here.  At times we are thinking as the slave, under the Law, forgetting the marvelous gift of Grace that was given to us. Please don’t tell me that you do not ever do this. If we truly grasped this, nothing could stop us in ministry, in our families, in our devotional time, in spreading the fragrance of Knowing HIM, our boldness for the kingdom with just scream from us!! It is not a light thing that HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR US! It means whatever is brought your way, God has already seen HIS Glory fulfilled in it, and you will also see HIS Glory if you don’t turn from HIM.  SWIMMING IN IT! THIS IS SOMETHING TO w00t!!! Holla!!! all about!!!

(in the middle column you will find a list of names and days that they will posting as we study together through Galatians. Under the header of “Carls Blogging Bible Study, check them out, and leave some comment luv)

DO SOMETHING-get out of the comfort zone

Been paying attention to what gets response on my Facebook. I have mixed group on my facebook. Christ followers, friends I grew up with, relatives, and co-workers, Christfollowers make up 70 % of my friends list.

This weekend  I finally grasped something that has been bothering me for a while.  As Christfollowers, we are quick to disregard things that are not comfortable, things that are not complementing to ourself, and overall would cause us to maybe do something.  Sorry in advance if this is stepping on your toes..well no apology is necessary.

So many children around the world need our help in one way or another.  I support a child in India through Compassion, for the last 6 years.  Love him!  There are many groups that can be helpful in directing you in how to help a child in need.  Christian Organizations.  But the one that has my heart, is Invisible Children of Uganda.  Its not Christian Organization, although Christians started it.  Its more of a Humanitarian effort.  Together we can make a difference in this country, and for these children.  I am asking you to come out of your comfort zone, and just watch any of the videos on their website.  Write a letter to your congressman, send out an email to entire list to raise awareness…DO SOMETHING..together we can help these children.

I hear so many people say “I am following Jesus”..I think Uganda and the Invisible Children are exactly where HE would be…Jesus loves the children of the world..and what we have done or not done for the least of these we have done to HIM… Please just hear these people out, and pray about how you can help them.

A Friday Evening Rant!

Its been a long time since i just ranted..and if you are not into it, STOP reading now!

After work today I just wanted to fuel my bus before putting it away (you know so if someone needs it this weekend its fueled). I sat and waited for 20 minutes while a man at the pump just stood there, insisting it don’t work, because he can’t hear it.  FAIL its working but you have to hold the handle this aint the Minit Market (yes in PA we pump our own fuel)…he has worked there for 20 or more years, its always been that way..OKAY, still rolling with it, patience..yah I am working on it. Two bus drivers tried to cut in front of me..dang! these are full size buses, not little nissan people!  then another driver decides she needs to get around me, instead of going the other way, and now i need to back up to let her past..lost my spot in line for fuel! OKAY..i am not that nice..so i parked the bus, and said i am done for today!

I leave there to go pick up some dinner for my kids. i am a nice mom, want to treat my kids a little..go to Wendys. (the man delivers to wendys, support the cause all that!), the girl rips me off some of my food, about $7.00, and I want her to fix it..but FAIL! she got all ghetto on me..and needless to say Jesus did not come out of my mouth..it was all about ghetto on ghetto..FAIL!

Just so you know, I am staying in my house..I am not going anywhere tonight..and knowing full well, i have FAILED the patience, show them love, and be Christ like, and it took me all of 30 minutes!

Being an Overcomer doesn’t mean that I have it all together, or that crap doesn’t happen to me..it means I am learning to overcome one thing at a time, and knowing when I FAIL, GOD will most certainly give this test again, until I pass it.. **stomps feet**

School Is In! the Bus saga continues…

I wish my bus had a smile like that, but we can pretend!  Another school year is well under way.  Some children are the same as last year, some are new, and over all I have a great bunch of kids! I start at 6:30 am and thru the course of a day , approximately 270 kids come thru my bus, twice a day.  Sounds like a lot, but they each have a face, a name, a place to pick them up  and a place to take them home.  WOW God trusts me with that!

Every day, I wonder “why”, you know, why Lord am I here? each year is added more restrictions about what I can say to the children, more is taken away ( i may not hug a crying child, or give a high five for a job well done, no physical contact in anyway). Maybe I am there to pray for them, and that I do.  Maybe I am there to smile for the ones who will not see a smile anywhere else today.

What ever the reason, I am here because I am exactly where God wants me, and even if I never understand completely, I understand that God has a plan, and is in control of every second of my day.  My choice is to join HIM in whatever HE is doing.

Today…HE was nudging me to draw attention to a little girl who rode my Kindergarten bus last year.  This child is never cleaned up, she not only does not smile, she has NO none absolutely any expression ever. She will not answer you, and she is not rude, just silent, eyes never leave the floor, and she is extremely nervous and intimidated, insecure issues seems like an understatement.  So today, I raised attention.  I asked the aide if she knew “Maddie”, she said “I never noticed her before”.  I told her to notice her.  Something is terribly wrong with this child. I mentioned it again to the principal at her school.  I plan on being a real pain! about this until someone looks into what is going on with her.  So tonight when life slows down, and you have a chance to reflect on your day, Pray for Maddie, pray that they will notice her, and that whatever help she needs, she will get quickly. Pray for her safety.  I may not be able to reach out more openly, directly to her, but NO ONE tells God where HE can go, or what HE can do..I know HE hears the prayers of HIS children, and I know HE moved on my heart to DO SOMETHING for her.

Thank you in advance! Jesus loves the little children…all the children of the world..
