while reading through some of my archives from “Princess, Overcomer”, this one I needed to hear again, thought I would share it with you. Some of you have been with me from the beginning and will remember this, Peace…stop trying to fit into the world, you belong to Heaven.
Sometimes we try so hard to fit into this world, and even look for approval from people, when all we really need to do is show our Royalty!
Phil. 4:20-says that our citizenship is in Heaven-Heaven is our home!
I Peter 2:9-11-says that we are a royal priesthood, a holy nation of people belonging to God! , Aliens and strangers in this world! Along with it comes a warning–do not give in to worldly sinful desires, they will wage war with your soul!
While thinking about this, and how often we fall to subtle things that work their way in to our minds, I have been praying about how..HOW..do we keep those things from happening, or Discernment is needed to be stronger to identify them when they do get in! HE, the King, has reminded me to…
Phil. 4:8 think about things are praiseworthy, and excellent, and good…
mmmmm after pondering these things again…the King is the only one Praise worthy, excellent and good!! Focus on the Lord, and anything that does not stand up to HIS standards disregard!
Spreading the knowledge of Christ to others is a pleasant smell to the Lord…as we do this we are to God the aroma of Jesus…(2Cor. 2:15).
There is no better way to show our royalty than to be sanctified and to strive to step up our sanctification…meaning in the light of the fact, that the King lives with us, we are doing nothing that will hinder HIS presence, no language that would offend our King, no music or TV that I would not be comfortable knowing that Jesus is with me. That is guarding my mind, and my heart.
Sanctification=letting your royalty show, an aroma pleasant to the nose of the KING=spreading HIS gospel and making HIM known.Lets strive today to show off our royalty, and smell good too!!!!

Sanctification…the life of the Christian growing closer and closer to Him.
I’m finding, I think, that as I get closer and closer to Him, less and less of this world has a hold on me. Now, I don’t want to get prideful about that, and am a bit concerned that even saying such a thing will make me a target for the enemy. Or maybe it’s just a good day…?
To strive to step up our sanctification…hmmm…to consecrate ourselves completely for His use…for His glory.
The process is never-ending, Darla. I am glad to know He’s not expecting perfection this side of heaven. I’d be sunk!
That really got me!! So true! I never saw it like that before. At least … not connecting those things. 🙂 Thanks for the flashback!!
Thanks for this oh-so-timely word, sister! I feel like I’ve been trying to fit into the world lately in certain areas, and it’s been painful. What happened to my thinking that got me off track? I think the notion of my going back to work after many years of being a homemaker have thrown me into a cultural tizzy! Not having a degree has suddenly become my measuring stick of self worth. Didn’t see it as clearly as I do now, after reading this amazing piece. Thank you, we are daughters of the King! And only the King can open doors for His heirs! I get it! Thank you Darla, for reminding me that His Scepter is extended to you and me, ALWAYS!!!
Michelle- always good to read your comments..Hope you are feeling well today, saying a prayer for you.
Annie- this flashback we all need from time to time..we are still so human although we belong to heaven.
Carrie- this is something I struggle with from time to time, measuring myself against worldly things, when I am to measure myself against who HE says I am. We are HIS children part of THE Royal family..and its okay to not fit in here, we fit perfectly in Heaven. love you Princess, praying for you right now!

Message resonating with me right now, princess 🙂 Working at disregarding some things at the moment…

I’ve been letting too much things enter that would offend our King lately. Thank you so much for this post. I can literally feel the Spirit nudging me as I read this post again. Thank u, thank u, thank u…..
Phi. 4:8 – a verse that humbles papa. I Really think that verse is a ‘measuring tool’ to check where our loyalties really are. If we are sanctified then we are ‘set apart’ for HIM.
This is a good reminder especially with a daughter entering into the awareness that other people have opinions of her. Thank you.
