B.U.S.Y. (but you said this yoke was light?)

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.  Matthew 11:28-30  (I believe this is God’s word and it is truth.)

These verses have caused question in my mind so often before the Lord.  I sometimes find myself in business, to the point that my time with HIM suffers.  Although I seem to be about the Lord’s work, it is still too heavy for me.  I have been quoted scripture that HIS grace is sufficient for me, and it always is…but not all things of GOD are for me or you to do.  HE must be part of the decision making process, and we are required to spend time with HIM.  HE is never the corner we cut to make ends meet.  Our time with HIM is vital to how the rest of the day will come together.

Key to this scripture is to take HIS yoke and learn from HIM…do we know that HE is gentle and humble in heart? This requires relationship, and relationships take time to grow, spending time with the other.  Just my thinking that this is why the yoke is so heavy at times..those times the relationship is lacking.

While visiting http://PracticalBibleTeaching.wordpress.com I came across a post.  In the spiritual realm, the only thing the enemy wants from a believer as he cannot take your salvation, is to damage your testimony, and to keep you from spending time with the Father. so that your relationship does not grow, and leaves you powerless against him. Why the latter? How strong is our testimony if not spending time with HIM.  Dale Hill has given me permission to post this. However I could not get it to transfer…LOL yes its that good!

So go here to read SATANS MEETING..(READ EVEN IF YOUR BUSY) satan called a worldwide convention with demons. This post will jerk your mind, cause you to take another look and get back to where we are to be in Christ.  Its imperative to the abundant life you have been called to. No relationship, no power…we need to stop living in defeat…

  1. Thank you, Darla.

The plans and schemes of the devil are real…unless Ephesians is wrong.

I found was looking at this passage today about what it is we are to DO…considering we’ve t”aken off” the old man, then we are to “put on” the new:

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved,
~clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,
~bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if someone happens to have a complaint against anyone else.
~Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also forgive others.
~And to all these virtues add love, which is the perfect bond.
~Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart (for you were in fact called as one body to this peace),
    ~and be thankful.
~Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and exhorting one another with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, all with grace in your hearts to God.
~And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

    ~Colossians3:12-17

I’m feeling the need to go richly dwell in the Word of God.

Love you, Princess! Hope you’re feeling better. 😉

  2. I found *as I* was looking…

    sheesh!

  3. Michelle- I have that Colossians passage hanging on my mirror so that i remember daily to dress with Christ as well as my clothing..and I so knew what you meant. Love you, you are HIS princess too!

Honestly, this is something I’ve thought a lot about. The busy part. We are so busy, running everywhere, that we have no time for the relationships. The Christian walk is all about relationships (with God first, and people second). I don’t know very many people who don’t have a schedule so jam packed that they can even get time away for coffee without scheduling it a month in advance. It is so hard to develop friendships without time. And how much more important it is to spend time developing that with God.

    Yep… convicted here!

    🙂
    Thanks

  5. nonconformer- thank you for visiting

HW- I know this was very convicting..to me..and the article that I linked too..is mind boggling…hope you got to go see it.

“Just my thinking that this is why the yoke is so heavy at times..those times the relationship is lacking.”

did you say visit and coffee????

    😀

i like those words used together in a sentence!

brent is running sound this weekend. maybe he will record it???

    love you. so much!

  11. Darla~As soon as I read this, I thought about Matthew 6:33. We tend to complicate things greatly. I know God’s Word is full of wisdom and instruction and we are to study it and “show ourselves approved” but I believe we complicate the premise behind doing that, which is to seek God. Period. We cannot do all those things that the Bible tells us to do and then seek God. Seeking God comes first, then all these things [strength, peace, joy, wisdom, clarity] will be added unto us.

I love you. Thank you so much for your text the other day. It came at the right time.

  12. Tam-love the words visit and coffee too!! I would love a copy of that song! te amo mucho!

    Faith-love you Princess!

GCH- I love you!! and that is a word sweet thang! If not seeking HIS face nothing comes together,

Often we cry to God: More love, more power, more of you in my life, but whilst we are doing that we fail to invest the time and commitment that our relationship with God needs.

Thank you for the stern reminder.

    God bless you.

  14. Darla,
Thank you for the link to the post, and thanks to those of your readers who visited. With this comment, I am giving any who have a blog that reaches beyond our group to copy and post B.U.S.Y. (with a reference to the link, please).
Even though this is on my own site, I read it often because I need to be reminded of my Martha nature that houses the Mary desire.
Lets’ get this little story out and around the world.
    Thanks.
    Dale

  15. One of my fave worship songs uses this verse.
