I haven’t had much time to blog lately.
The Bus is great…the kids are too cute for words (yes, even the older ones), and God just amazes me at how HE fills my heart with love for them. I looked into my mirror today and could see the inside of the entire bus…just gazing at them…each one so different from the next..each one beautiful in a different way…different races/ethnic backgrounds. They don’t see each other as different. As I listened to their chatter…I looked again…and realized deep in my heart of hearts…Created in the image of my God. HIS great love for them, a plan for each one, and that HE would allow me to see that or even be part of this…I can’t understand. For those of you who are praying for me..Thank you!
Today as one little red haired sweetie smiled for the first time this week, my heart remembered why I am doing this. I had to tell her just how beautiful she is, and that red hair is my favorite!! She had a little porcelian smile, and said “Thank you, no one likes red hair”… I DO. And she was just the happiest little thing I seen so far this year.
We are leaving tomorrow evening to visit Papa and Mama….we are very excited! So I will check in when I can.

OH!! To have had someone tell me they loved red hair!!! Well, to be honest, some people did, but it’s strange how often you need to hear it when the rest of the world seems to be telling you how ugly you are.
But, I finally got over it. Mostly. 😉

Michelle- I truly mean that I love red hair..so much that I color mine to be red! as I am getting older its not so red..and well…I love that God is an artist…and I believe HE loves red too! I know I love you!
Chicken Broth- would you please give my brother a message for me…Loving these children is what I am there for, sometimes I lose sight of that, but HE is always faithful to remind me..one little face at a time…Oh and this love stuff…nothing better! and tell him I miss my brother alot…can’t wait til hes back!

And really?!!?!?!?!?!?! I’m very surprised at the comments of the girl on the bus and Michelle. I have red hair too, and I’ve never had one negative comment on it. I wasn’t raised in public schools … I don’t know if that’s part of it. But I’ve always had comments my whole life on how beautiful it is … actually the #1 reason why I would never color my hair. I think mine is a slightly unusual red … maybe that’s part of it too. I don’t know. That makes me sad that people say such things of other people. Kinda mad too. Who are they to say what is beautiful? Shows how little they know. Oh. 🙂 On this subject … did you know that Biblical Hebrew doesn’t have a word for ugly? 😀 God made all things good. Ugly doesn’t exist. 🙂

The Lord is using you to make a huge difference in the lives of those kids. Seeing through His eyes each and every child, what a privilege and a blessing.
