Are you bewitched?

1You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? 2This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? 3Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?  Galations 3:1-3 (NASB)

I have heard some disturbing things the last year in reference to people becoming their own god and thinking that all roads lead to him.  I was not surprised at the thought coming from ones who did not know Jesus.  But for the ones who know HIM, this is a total slap in the face to an Almighty God who has provided and loved you from the beginning.

Shonda (on my blogroll)  has posted a very awesome post on false prophets, and it worth the time to take a look at it.  And just pray that God will open your eyes to the subtle advances of the dark kingdom towards our hearts.  I recieved several different warnings in my email this week that I want to share with you, you make your own decisions…but please please please pray before you go here;

Funny that just a few years ago, Casting Crowns had a song that really motivated me to pray more in the areas of my life that used immobilize me…What if HIS people pray? dust off their sword?  Stop asking Oprah what to do?!   Casting Crowns- What if HIS people pray?

  1. Darla,

I am honored you refer readers to the post. My goal is to point people to Christ and for believers to test the spirits according to the Word of God.

I am grieved that so many fall into the deception, esp. Christians in the body of Christ as I read about on Baptist Press News at this link:
A church promoting a false gospel. I pray that our prayers and our speaking the truth in love will stop some from falling for this deception from the enemy.

I searched for a long time for that song. I’m glad you posted it on here! That’s wisdom from Casting Crowns.

I’m glad to be on this journey with you.

With lots of love & blessings in Christ our Lord–

  2. I really try to not “scare” people when it comes to serving Christ. But – we have to learn to discern the good from the evil. Satan does seek us out and will destroy if we let him.

  3. Papa- I agree with you. We really need to warn our brothers and sisters, to remember that we must stay in the Word, and that we do have an enemy who prowls like a lion to devour us..the safety is in HIS shadow. Know the Word, Know HIM, be obedient to HIM, and I am praying for all those involved that HE will grab and turn hearts back to HIM, and please don’t let us fall into a trap. I do not want to be duped (bewitched). Love you!

  4. Shonda- I am honored to walk this road with you! HE is so worth it!

  5. Thanks for all the links. I have been feeling for awhile a warning or uneasiness where o is concerned. And, this gives voice to it. We must pray and pray fervently for His will to be done, regardless of what that means or looks life for us personally.
    Come quickly Lord Jesus!

  6. hislifeformine- AMen! I will not spread false rumor, I always do my homework first…and this guy Eckhart Tolle is a scary guy…Come Lord Jesus! praying with you!

  7. Darla – didn’t get an email yet – its 9:54 est here.

  8. Darla, Thanks for passing this information along. I knew something was up but didn’t realize how deeply ingrained Oprah was with Eckhart Tolle – very scary guy!!

We need to sharpen our swords – nothing else will cut through the darkness like the Word of God.

    Have a wonderful Lord’s Day!

Oh geeze! that new age stuff. Who suddenly decides that Jesus wants something different from His followers? Maddening!

I’m all frustrated now. I wanta administer a Holy Pummel on Oprah’s head 😯 With Love of course 😉

  10. I had totally forgotten about that Casting Crowns song.
    That line gave me chills!

It is frustrating, to see someone so powerful slap our God and His act of love across the face. As 1 Peter says, we must be ready to give an answer as to why we believe….at all times! Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m still encountering Christians, or people who claim Christ, who don’t have a problem watching the show….I can’t tell them what to watch or not watch, but for a while, something there just hasn’t settled in my spirit. The word talks about not placing anything vile before you eyes, this “theology” goes into the vile catagory for this family!

Oh my, I’m on a tangent big time…sorry!!! I think we have to be on our toes and be sure to put our spiritual armor on every day!

    Love you girl….steph.

Thanks for your comment on my little one’s blog…that made her day. 🙂

  11. o_o I’m not sure how to do the bug-eyed guy lol…

but in all seriousness… watching this Youtube video my mouth is still agape! I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS.

Lord, I turn to YOU right now. I turn to YOU. YOU are the ONLY WAY…. I reject categorically every doctrine of devils that says that there are many ways to YOU and that GOD is only a concept of love and not of belief! I BELIEVE IN YOU, LORD JESUS. I RECOGNIZE YOU AS LORD. I ACKNOWLEDGE YOU AS LORD. I hold fast to my confession of you in the name of Jesus. FATHER LORD – DADDY GOD – MY KING!

  12. Darla, thanks for the post and the comment on mine. It was an email sent to me, that I thought needed a broader audience than just hitting “forward”. I added in the actual scripture verses, so someone would not have to go look them up, they were right there in front of them.

Just I thought on Oprah, I believe she came from a background of Bible believers. Her name was supposed to be “Orpah” from the Bible, but somewhere there was a typo or mom misspelled or something. Strange how far she has come in so many ways, and not all of them for the good.

  13. papa- i continue to recieve your emails and reply to them, somehow yours get here and not sure where mine have ended up..sorry I tried! Any other ideas??

  14. I really appreciate how you approached this. You had an opportunity to research some things and then share your concerns and you encouraged other Christians to to do the same. I like it!

  15. Hey Darla,

Thanks for referring me to your post. I have heard of Steven Curtis Chapman’s foundation before. Definitely something to look into as I pray for direction:)

    Love and Blessings….
