I have heard some disturbing things the last year in reference to people becoming their own god and thinking that all roads lead to him. I was not surprised at the thought coming from ones who did not know Jesus. But for the ones who know HIM, this is a total slap in the face to an Almighty God who has provided and loved you from the beginning.

Funny that just a few years ago, Casting Crowns had a song that really motivated me to pray more in the areas of my life that used immobilize me…What if HIS people pray? dust off their sword? Stop asking Oprah what to do?!

I really try to not “scare” people when it comes to serving Christ. But – we have to learn to discern the good from the evil. Satan does seek us out and will destroy if we let him.
Papa- I agree with you. We really need to warn our brothers and sisters, to remember that we must stay in the Word, and that we do have an enemy who prowls like a lion to devour us..the safety is in HIS shadow. Know the Word, Know HIM, be obedient to HIM, and I am praying for all those involved that HE will grab and turn hearts back to HIM, and please don’t let us fall into a trap. I do not want to be duped (bewitched). Love you!

Thanks for all the links. I have been feeling for awhile a warning or uneasiness where o is concerned. And, this gives voice to it. We must pray and pray fervently for His will to be done, regardless of what that means or looks life for us personally.

That line gave me chills!
It is frustrating, to see someone so powerful slap our God and His act of love across the face. As 1 Peter says, we must be ready to give an answer as to why we believe….at all times! Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m still encountering Christians, or people who claim Christ, who don’t have a problem watching the show….I can’t tell them what to watch or not watch, but for a while, something there just hasn’t settled in my spirit. The word talks about not placing anything vile before you eyes, this “theology” goes into the vile catagory for this family!
Oh my, I’m on a tangent big time…sorry!!! I think we have to be on our toes and be sure to put our spiritual armor on every day!

Darla, thanks for the post and the comment on mine. It was an email sent to me, that I thought needed a broader audience than just hitting “forward”. I added in the actual scripture verses, so someone would not have to go look them up, they were right there in front of them.
Just I thought on Oprah, I believe she came from a background of Bible believers. Her name was supposed to be “Orpah” from the Bible, but somewhere there was a typo or mom misspelled or something. Strange how far she has come in so many ways, and not all of them for the good.
