Isaiah 40: 26 Lift your eyes on high and see who has created these things…
Ponder on that. I have been beating myself up with what is the big deal if a person believes in Creation as I thought if they see God in me and in my life that it works God will change the heart. I still believe that but there is this verse which I also feel compelled to take to heart. Isaiah was talking about the idolatry and the hearts of the people so easily swayed by what they could see and reason with, and Creation as being the thing that showed God’s power and handiwork. For myself that always speaks volumes to my heart. When I am down, or confused a ride to an isolated place and speaking my heart to God in that place as always brought me home with a new perspective. So after reading this and pondering on it, I am thinking that it would be incredibly difficult if possible at all to give the Lord your heart if not believing HE is Creator. I know there are tons of debates on line about this, and all of them inconclusive, no minds changed. I get weary in the whole debate thing.
Today I choose JOY, this is the day the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it! If you are reading this and are not a believer, I can only tell you that Jesus did die for you, and lives for you as well. And HIS Father is the creator of everything you see, and is in control of all things, and does have a plan. It requires faith to walk this walk, and it can’t be explained as who can describe and explain conclusively an infinite Almighty God. Choose HIM and Choose Joy.
In September 2007 mama and I went to the new Creation Museum near Cincinnati. Wow! What an experience! Packed place, lines of visitors! Darla – what awed me was their planetarium presentation of the universe! There has to be a God! A Creator! There are individual stars so huge that you could put our entire solar system inside an individual star! And to top it off He loves me, less than a spec in His universe! Do you know you are blessed young lady?!
Papa- I am blessed, loved, accepted, adopted in the beloved, forgiven and redeemed! that deserves a woooohooooooo! Living under the blessing is so much better than living under the curse. I will take blessing any day, and I feel the same about you and mama!
I feel that it is takes way more faith to believe in evolution than in creation. For me to believe that everything on this earth, every living thing or everything that was made from a living thing, is a result of evolving from one thing that just somehow randomly appeared seems way too mind boggling for my little brain. If we supposedly evolved from apes, why are there still some unlucky apes who are still flinging poo?
🙂 you have to love HUBS, he is still getting mileage out of the “poo-flinging” thing. Thats my man!
Hey Darla,
All I need to do is walk to the bluffs at the end of the road out here, look out over the Pacific Ocean for as far as my eyes can see, and know the One who created it, has every drop of water numbered (sheesh) and yet has time for me and loves me and hears my praise and prayers. And He still has His eyes on every lost person, every hurting person, everything, keeps me in line with my place in all of it. And don’t even get me started on the whole Ape thing, no way, I will stop here.
Love you Darla,
Laurie in Ca.
