Right on Darla…
Peter’s honesty gets me too…totally transparent. Maybe that’s why he made the first confession of Christ and Jesus used him to found his church. Peter gave the first ‘christian’ sermon in history in the opening of acts.

Your last paragraph was Peteresque…very cool.

Thanks Dan, what you wrote is how I do move through my life, sometimes people are not happy, but I think my place is just to pray for those who are not happy, and to remember that it is not me who gets rejected, it is Christ in me. I don’t like to sound as if I have figured it all out, but I am pressing on…have a great day…there is a bus waiting for me to return and about 120 kindergarten kids that are waiting for Miss Darla.. LOL

I sure messed up my last comment’s spelling!

The enemy loves to tell us (through others or all by himself) we are being legalistic when we don’t ‘join in’ this or that thing or activity, even when we don’t have the desire for ‘it’ any more. The challenge is to ‘walk’ the road He is taking us down and communicate to everyone around us the “I don’t WANT it’ any more” message.

The enemy will use anyone he can to get you to compromise, even family and friends (Christian ones). You can take that to the bank. I know this one well. Send the message “I REALLY am not into that any more because He changed my heart’s desires” enough times and they will catch on.

Just a crusty old soldier with ‘war wounds’ talking…..:)
